TESH

In looking at the work of Ruvan Afanador, I went on to look at the work of TESH as their portfolio's can be viewed on the "art-dept.com" website. It was the shoot he had published as the cover of i-D magazine that made me notice his work. The shoot included some semi-nude, black and white images of Kate Moss. In looking at them within the issue of i-D, the images seemed to interest me. I couldn't quite work out what it was that made me want to look at the images. In looking at them a few days later I came to the conclusion that it was the natural vulnerability of the image that was inspiring me. By natural vulnerability it seems as though I am saying Kate Moss was looking vulnerable, but I this isn't the case within these images, she seems vulnerable but in an empowering and strong way. It is this that caught my attention, the contradiction between the nudity and the dominant persona Kate Moss provokes.

I have also looked at other images by TESH but, it is predominately the Kate Moss images that I found most inspirational.
